How Technology is Changing the Education Sector

Technology has influenced the education sector both negatively and positively. It has highly been considered as the evolving of traditional curriculum style. Many have already said that this is the new teaching curriculum while developers are creating more application and design in the market to enhance education.

Many have seen this as a good idea for it is creating a more entertaining platforms for learning for both teachers and students such as the class discussion app. In campuses’ lecture halls, gadgets like laptops and smartphones are mostly familiar with students. With the help of new technologies, machines and software, the approach to learning has been changing and remodeling classes.

The business insider interviewed Brian Green Berg, CEO of Silicon Valley who said that very young kids were being exposed to the same content as adults. This content is either enlightening or explicit, and since the young kids don’t know what is right and wrong, they are adopting these habits. Each one of us has a different style of learning and technology has allowed teachers to acquire unique teaching styles.

Even with the number of software being used in classrooms increasing rapidly students have adopted skills and the use of textbooks being replaced slowly. Tech has made it easier to question Google anything and also calculate mathematical problems. This has not degraded a teacher’s role in the class, but it complements the teaching instead.

How education has been influenced by technology negatively

Sometimes the equipment used requires repair and maintenance. This is a common problem because it brings about delays in classrooms and syllabuses. To curb this, teachers should always be prepared with tasks and assignments.

Another issue is a distraction in learning institutions. When we talk of distraction, it means that we get allured to social network sites and games in the devices. The social sites have become like a drug to many students with young kids being introduced to sites like Facebook, Instagram among others. This has hampered the progress and potential to succeed in teenagers, and it is advised that teacher should monitor the students work.

With the use of technology, learning has become more comfortable, and students are not getting necessary skills. The machines do everything for you, and this has prevented students from getting the literacy of manually performing assignment and having excellent communication skills.

The positive influence of technology in education

The involvement of technology in recent years has brought simple solutions of learning in classrooms. Schools are meant to prepare oneself for the future and incorporating technology is the way forward to the young generation. At their tender age, children are developing skills and knowledge that will be helpful in the world today and in the future.

Teaching has become a lot easier for teachers, and the addition of tools has brought a positive attitude and opinion to the education sector too. They say that before, it was a bit challenging in keeping students focused but in recent times they have been engaging actively in lessons. Thanks to tech.

Every student wants to master using the tools presented by technology, and this has been a significant step towards motivating the learners. They have become motivated by taking greater control of tools like tablets and laptops encouraging interactive.
We are all different, and the same applies to learn. Each one has his or her own pace of learning and understanding some might be fast other slow. In learning institutions, lessons from laptops and tablets have allowed students to learn/process information and also work at their pace. This has given teachers time to students who require extra assistance.
