Functions of Sandblasting
Sandblasting is one of the many techniques that is used to clean surfaces through roughening. In this process, a skilled personnel operates sandblasting equipment to ‘blast’ compressed air or steam at high speed to clean various metallic floors or when etching glasses. Corn cobs is another grit that is used for the treatment of delicate surfaces. the grits work best in removing the unwanted portions while serving to a line and protect the main substrate. Though steel grit is softer than aluminum oxide; it works best on hard surfaces to smoothen them leaving a polished look.
Rusty surfaces, burred portions, surface aging and scales, machine wear and tear are some of the inevitable problems most companies go through.
